This recruitment is being held to establish an eligible list to fill current and future Real Property Agent III positions within this specialty. The eligible list may also be utilized to fill positions in similar and/or lower classifications throughout the County of Orange.

JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT
John Wayne Airport (JWA), owned and operated by the County of Orange California, is a medium-hub, commercial service airport. JWA has an annual budget of approximately $280 Million per year and a staff of approximately 100. JWA is one of the top 50 busiest commercial airports in the country in terms of both passenger enplanements and total operations and the 9th busiest General Aviation airport.

JWA operates as an enterprise fund self-supported through revenues it generates and receives no monies from the County General Fund. These revenues are utilized to operate the Airport, provide for the repayment of revenue bonds, fund facility capital improvements, and maintenance projects, and support aviation planning. It is a modern, 20-gate, medium hub commercial and general aviation airport located in a vibrant and economically viable area of Southern California. JWA is home to seven (7) commercial airlines, two (2) commuter operators, two (2) all-cargo carriers, two (2) full-service FBOs, and over 440 general aviation aircraft.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIVISION
The Business Development Division is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing all commercial real property contracts, licenses, and leases involving John Wayne Airport. The Business Development Division also evaluates and assesses the effectiveness of business partner relationships to ensure a high level of customer service, safety, security and efficient operations.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Real Property Agent III will perform highly complex work related to airport property acquisitions, requests for proposals (RFP), leases, contracts, and other property management functions related to the airlines, concessions, general aviation, real estate and ground transportation that directly affect the daily operations of the airport.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION & CORE COMPETENCIES
John Wayne Airport is recruiting for an experienced professional with four (4) or more years of commercial property management experience including commercial leasing administration and real estate contract development.

LICENSE REQUIRED

The successful candidate must obtain or possess, and maintain the following licenses:

Valid California Driver’s License, Class C or higher, by date of appointment
Valid Airport Access Badge with an Airport Driving Endorsement within ten (10) days of employment

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS (not required)

Airport concessions and/or airport property management leasing development experience
An Associate’s degree or higher in Real Estate, Management, or other related field
California Real Estate license, Property Management certification, Certified Member (AAAE) certification, Commercial Real Estate certification and/or a certificate from the Project Management Professional (PMP), Deputy Purchasing Agent with the County, or other industry related certification(s)
