The Broward County Aviation Department which operates the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the North Perry Airport is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Airport Manager – Airlines. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight of Airline Signatory Agreements and Tenant Relations and should possess contract management experience related to commercial air carriers, land and/or building leases and have experience dealing with service permits related to airline terminal services. The selected candidates’ primary responsibilities will be focused on airline and tenant relations, lease agreement negotiations, maintenance, compliance and enforcement, terminal building development and expansion, and the supervision and development of the Airlines Team that consists of three Business Specialists. This position is the primary point of contact for coordinating and resolving policy questions and concerns from tenants inside the Airport’s Terminal Buildings including airlines, service providers, catering companies, aircraft janitorial, contracted airline ticket counter staff as well as gate and ramp service providers. The Airport Manager works closely with the Air Service Development Team to promote the Airport and accommodate new service. The position also maintains all permits associated with tenant service providers at the Airport. The incumbent must be able to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment and be adept at managing multiple projects professionally and timely with the ability to deliver results and resolve matters involving competing priorities.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or closely related field. Requires four (4) years in airport management related to Airlines Management including one (1) year supervisory experience.
