Under general direction of the Sr. Manager, AOC, the Airport Duty Manager (ADM) will be responsible for maintaining full situational awareness of all facets of airport operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and secure operation of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Intl. Airport. This incudes implementing incident management processes to ensure effective management of small, medium and large scale incidents. The ADM maintains constant awareness of changing conditions, activities and requirements affecting airport operations, analyzes the impact, and implements the appropriate response protocols as required. This includes continued coordination with both KCAB departments as well as outside airport stakeholders to ensure that appropriate resources are deployed as required.
This position is an integral part of decision making and crisis management during regular business hours and serves as the ranking staff member on property during off hours. The Airport Executive Team will rely on this person to make decisions and give directions in their absence. These positions require working rotating shifts in a 24X7 operation including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Operates with considerable independence, requiring the exercise of sound judgment and initiative.
Proactively monitors changing conditions affecting airport operations and implements incident management processes as required to minimize impacts.
Coordinates with all KCAB departments during irregular operations and airport emergencies to ensure effective response and recovery.
Communicates information regarding irregular operations to affected KCAB departments, airport stakeholders, and passengers through coordination with the KCAB Communications Team
Ensures the proper use and compliance with the Airport’s Notification Systems.
Conducts daily operations briefings with airport departments and stakeholders to advise of known irregular operations and plans and leads contingency plans
Maintains working knowledge of TSA 1542 and the Airport Security Program (ASP) and monitors compliance with airport security policies (non law enforcement). Escalates issues to Airport Police as required.
Maintains a working knowledge of all FAA regulations (including Part 139 and Part 77) and Airport Certification Manual (ACM) and works with Airport Operations Agents to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
Maintains a working knowledge of all environmental guidelines and regulations including the Storm Water Pollution Protection (SWPP) Program for the Airport as well as the applicable SPCC plans.
Coordinates, in conjunction with KCAB departments, all airport operational activities within airfield and landside environments
Ensures that plans and procedures (SOPS) are accurate, implementable, and well communicated among the airport, airlines, tenants, and other key stakeholders.
Works in a regularly scheduled shift work and unscheduled after hours work and is subject to emergency re-call as part of routine duties
Evaluates performance of responsible areas through the review of work methods, procedures, and results.
Provides input to assist in the development of the annual departmental budgets
Responsible for all contract management activities as documented in KCAB Policy 1014, Contract Management. As the subject matter expert responsible for all key aspects of contract management ensuring KCAB’s interests are represented in any business activities regarding the agreement.
Serves as a member of KCAB’s Covered Entity and is responsible for ensuring the privacy and security of Protected Health Information in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and KCAB Policy 1040.
Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field to the area of assignment and five years of management experience in airport or airline airport operations or other related airport management field. Minimum three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Maintain Security Identification Display Area Clearance (SIDA)
Obtain and maintain position appropriate NIMS & emergency training.
ASOS Basic and Advanced
OSHA 30 hour
Maintain ramp and movement area driving privileges.
Applicable AOC Systems;
Airport operations, policies and procedures;
Demonstrated skill in directing and managing staff efficiently and effectively;
Demonstrated skill in comprehending and implementing requirements of complex, technical information.
Understands technology and how it should be implemented to improve workflow and communication
