Airport Planning & Environmental Manager


The Airport Planning and Environmental Manager plays a key role assisting the Aviation Planning Director with strategic and general management with specific emphasis on policy planning, capital and facilities planning, and environmental compliance and sustainability.

This position serves as manager of two sections of the Development Division of the Aviation Department at Charlotte Douglas International Airport: Airport Planning and Airport Environmental Management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with seven (7) years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the essential job duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree
Supervisory Experience
AICP Certification
AAAE Certified Member (C.M.)
Professional Engineer (PE)


$92,935 – $116,169 (Compensation is negotiable outside of the listed range based on experience and qualifications).
