The Port of Seattle / SEA is seeking a proven and strategic leader for the position of Aviation Chief Operating Officer. This critical position will be an integral part of the Airport’s leadership team and will serve as the second in leadership in the Aviation department. The COO will serve within the Office of the Director, reporting to the Managing Director (MD), and all Directors will have a dotted-line reporting relationship to the COO. The COO will have a solid-line / direct reporting relationship with the Operational Readiness and Airport Transition (ORAT), the Buildings, and the Art divisions.

This position will lead the day-to-day functions of the airport. Additionally, the COO will act as primary liaison to corporate services (Environment & Sustainability, External Relations, HR, F&B, Legal, Labor, Engineering, CPO, CPI, and OEDI) and will be tasked with making decisions as agreed to by the Managing Director while keeping the MD appraised of ongoing matters. This key individual will need to communicate and act in concert with the MD by providing input and making decisions on airport matters in collaboration with Aviation Directors and key Port Directors for continuity and consistency of operations.
